Fincastle Holdings

Operator-led ownership of trades and service businesses.

Fincastle partners with founders, families, and management teams of enduring businesses across the Southeast.

We focus on skilled trades, recurring services, and small industrial companies. The kind of businesses where the work is real, the customers took years to earn, and the people in the field are the asset.

Fit

What we look for.

Size
Roughly $1 M – $5 M of annual profit
What we know
Skilled trades such as plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and fencing along with adjacent residential and commercial service businesses
Where
Southern United States
How we structure
We buy a controlling interest while the founder stays involved on terms that work for both sides. Rollover equity, seller notes, and earnouts where they make sense.
How long we hold
Set by the business and the situation, not a fund clock.

Approach

Four ideas we hold to.

  1. We look at it the way an operator would.

Durable customer relationships, the quality of the people in the field, and local reputation matter more than presentation decks or adjusted margins. We have run trades businesses ourselves; we know what the numbers can and cannot show.

  2. We price honestly.

We focus on businesses with simple economics and steady demand, and we make offers we can stand behind.

  3. We build the deal around the founder.

Every situation is different. Rollover equity, seller notes, earnouts, and transition periods are tools we use to keep everyone pulling in the same direction, not boxes we tick. Your timing and priorities shape the structure, not the other way around.

  4. Owners, not flippers.

We buy businesses to operate, strengthen what is working, and protect the culture and the people who made the business worth buying in the first place. We are not on a fund clock.
